I’ve made a contact, through my boyfriend, with a piercer here in town. Checked out pricing and the selection of jewelry they have available. As soon as I have the cash, I’ll head on over and get it done.
So, I haven’t been cooking so much, per se. I HAVE been watching lots of cooking shows and trying to learn things from Alton Brown.
I have, however, been baking up a storm. Once or twice I chose to pass up box cake mixes and make cupcakes from scratch. As a matter of fact, I have some Red Velvet (more like pink velvet, didn’t have enough food coloring) cupcakes baking right now!
I’m about a month out of surgery and it was, by far, the worst experience of my life. Not trying to intimidate or scare anyone, this was just my experience.
Fortunately, I don’t remember anything from the surgery itself, just crying and being REALLY upset before and after. The pain meds I was given took 30 minutes to kick in, then wore off after 1 1/2 hours… leaving me in devastating pain until I could take another Darvocet. To top it off, I got a dry socket which required packing twice.
My jaw still hurts and I feel like I have a hole in my head, just now beginning to eat crunchy foods.
I’ve taken on paying my bills on the day I receive my paycheck (every other week), rent and a couple others for the next month with the last paycheck of the month. Everything else out of the other check. See my “save money” goal for other things pertaining to this.
Thanks to you who sent me the budgeting advice in my email.
Well, I’ve opened a new bank account which is VERY difficult to access, at least to pull money out of. I won’t go into details, but it’s much easier to put money in than to get it out. I’m contributing a little bit of money from each paycheck into this account.
In another note, I’m going to be increasing my contribution to my retirement fund at work… I’m already at the match amount, I’m going to increase it by 2% more.
